Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Cove At The Dunes (In Process)

On Friday, I took the kiddos to the Traverse City Library. Probably the best lofty, beautiful local library we’ve been to. Best part of this book filled gem is that they are always thinning out their collection of music and movies. And on Friday, I picked up the soundtrack from The English Patient for fifty cents.

This morning at 6:30, I put it on for the 7-8 time and listened to it again and again. After getting the kiddos and hubby off for the day (I have one home sick), I picked up my brush, found some colors I mixed months ago, and dug into a prepped canvas that’s been staring at me for weeks. All to the soft tunes from my new favorite soundtrack.

I have an Artist Guild show coming up and needed some smaller works to display at Crooked Tree Gallery in Petosky early this winter. And given it was only 33 degrees out this morning, I’d better get moving.

Anyhow, a hearty thanks to Gabriel Yates for the compositions and Academy of St. Martin In The Fields for the instrumental sequences. Seems like they’ve been in the fields for a while now…..
