Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

In At Dusk

It’s an unusually warm and lovely start to the fall here in NoMi. 88 degrees, sun, and zero humidity. Pretty close to perfect!

I started a new abstract piece that is inspired by all the fishing boats heading in each evening after steelhead fishing in the bay. The pleasure boats are already stored for the season but the fishing boats are still out each morning and night looking for a salmon interested in bait rather than a quick spawn up the Boardman River. It’s tough to catch one as they are focused on breeding/laying, not eating. The salmon are not easily tempted and it’s hard to get their attention.

Here’s what I have so far on this 24x24 canvas.
